Heading to Santa Monica Beach for the Fourth of July? Here's the lowdown on #parking. The lots fill up fast, so plan ahead. You can pay at the parking toll booth with cash or use a credit card at the pay station. Just make sure to display the receipt on your dashboard. Parking tickets are no joke – fines can be over $60!

For a smoother experience, try Parking Lot 5S on the south side of the pier. It's less crowded and gives you easy access to the beach. Plus, it's right by Calibunga Surf Lessons, where you can book a lesson and hit the waves before the #fireworks.

Also, heads up – as soon as you hit the Venice region, you'll be stuck in heavy traffic. The sweet spot is between the pier and Muscle Beach, known as #Dogtown.
